There are so many attractions, activities, events and places to visit and now that we offer Hotel rooms at Haslar, it is perfect place for a weekend or a longer stay. Gosport has beautiful beaches and fantastic walks either along the waterfront or in the wildgrounds of Alver Valley – it's all here right on your doorstep.

Shop ‘till you drop!

The town centre is conveniently located approximately 200 metres from Haslar. Perfect for relaxed shopping, the High Street has an interesting blend of smaller shops and cafes, offering choice and personal service, as well as major high street names. Or if you fancy a full day-out, why not hop over the water to Gunwharf Quays for some retail therapy or take the Wightlink passenger ferry and head for the Isle of Wight.

Safe panoramic beaches, impressive naval heritage, plenty of watersports plus scenic countryside walks and historic trails, there is much to keep the family entertained.

Eating out

We have two delightful restaurants on the marina site. Both The Creek on the inland edge of Haslar Marina and newly relaunched The Lightship, overlooking Portsmouth Harbour at Haslar, are hidden gems. Both venues offer great food, drinks and unparalleled views. (The Lightship is a seasonal restaurant. Please check opening times).

Accessible by car, boat and on foot, these restaurants offer a perfect alternative to others in the Portsmouth, Gosport areas and accross the Solent. Book a table or take over the entire venue to celebrate life's milestones with your friends and family. (The Lightship is open in the winter for private and corporate event bookings only - 40+).

On the water

Our partners at Bacchus Yachting have a fantastic training centre and a range of well-equipped yachts. The Haslar Yacht Club welcomes anyone who enjoys boating in the Portsmouth Harbour area and the Gosport Model Yacht and Boat Club is located just north of our crew car park. In one way or another, you could be out on the water in no time!
