Welcome to Martin West and Polysea!

We are delighted to announce that Martin West from Tewkesbury has won the boatfolk berthing for a year competition! We can't wait to welcome Martin and his family to Portishead Marina and for them to join our growing boatfolk community.  

Martin and his Moody 36, Polysea, join us from Chichester Harbour, where Martin has been planning a South-Coast cruise for next season. With access to free cruising through the boatfolk Nationwide Cruising Pass, Martin’s plans have been given a boost and he will now be warmly welcomed in to our marinas along the South Coast as he makes his way up to Portishead Marina.  

Martin has been sailing cruising yachts for the past three years, having started out with dinghies. He bought Polysea two years ago and is looking forward to making the most of the what the UK coastline has to offer before adventuring further afield in years to come.

Martin has been a welcome visitor at both East Cowes and Haslar Marinas in the Solent and is now looking forward to exploring the rest of the boatfolk family in the coming year and beyond.
