Ranging from a 40 tonne hoist at Kingston boatyard to the 60 tonne hoist at the Medina Yard, there’s somewhere for every type of vessel to haul out on the river.
Both Cowes Yacht Haven at the mouth of the Medina and Richardsons yard in Island Harbour south of the Folly Inn have 50 tonne hoists.
Tristan and his team at Solent Marine Services in Clarence boatyard right next door to us have facilities for RIBs and motorboats up to 40 feet.
For the more eclectic leisure vessels there are some big slipways as well as a dry dock and possible options at some of the commercial yards.
