Rhu Marina lies on the east side of the Gareloch on the north side of the Firth Of Clyde (latitude: 56° 1' 4.908'' N longitude: 4° 46' 56.928'' W). The marina entrance is between the concrete floating breakwaters, marked by red and green conical markers and lights which flash every 4 seconds. Approxmately 30 metres from the entrance is a green channel marker (starboard hand approaching the marina entrance). This lit buoy flashes every 5 seconds and marks the end of a sunken rock causeway on the extension to the breakwater. Boats must leave this buoy on the correct hand to avoid the rocks (exposed at Low water). The speed limit in the Rhu channel is 7Knots.
