The Bursledon Regatta

A day of fun with themed water carnival, silly races and a torchlit parade and firework extravaganza.

Hosted by Elephant Boatyard adjacent to Deacons Marina, the unique family atmosphere of the Regatta has something for all – events kick off around 10am with dinghy racing. Followed by fun races including swimming and in anything that floats - canoes, paddle boards, you name it. Around 3pm the famous themed water carnival commences – Rio eat your heart out, these floats are stunning with themes as varied in years gone by as Australia and Space. BBQ, refreshments and childrens games galore end with an evening hog roast and the start of the torchlit parade upriver to Deacons, followed by a firework extravaganza.
