As a berth holder, you're entitled to park in both the marina car park and the adjacent public paid parking area. Your parking pass is now ready and waiting for collection at the Marina Office, just swing by next time you're in.
Once you have it, please display it clearly on your windscreen with the identification number facing outward. It helps us know who’s who.
A few important notes to keep in mind. The car park is reserved for marina berth holders, harbour berth holders, Belfast Coastguard, and the Belfast Marine Office. It’s not for long-term vehicle storage, or parking while you’re off elsewhere. If you’re staying onboard or away cruising, that's no problem, but leaving a vehicle while you're away and not on the boat does need to be agreed with the marina team in advance.
The adjacent paid parking section is monitored by ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), so it’s essential that we have your current vehicle registration details. If you’ve changed cars, or are borrowing one, let us know. Please don’t update this through the boatfolk app, it doesn’t sync with the exemption list and we’d hate for you to get a surprise in the post.
Blue Badge holders, a gentle reminder that accessible bays must display a valid badge.
Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room. Yes, the parking bays are tight. We know. They were designed back when cars were smaller, narrower, and didn’t come with built-in coffee holders and panoramic display screens. So if you feel like you're wedging yourself in or doing a three-point turn just to get out, you're not alone.
We really appreciate your patience, and when the time comes to renew the surface or reconfigure the layout, we’ll be looking to give everyone a bit more breathing room (and elbow room too).
In the meantime, at weekends, the entire car park is reserved for marina use, so don’t be shy about making full use of it.
On weekdays, if space is tight or you just fancy an easier exit, feel free to park in the paid parking area free of charge, as long as we’ve got your number plate. There's usually plenty of space and far less risk of door-dings or acrobatics.
Thank you for your continued cooperation. While the current setup isn’t ideal, your patience and understanding are genuinely appreciated as we do our best to make it work.
