SUP-ing Santa's

Don your Santa suit and come for a social SUP!

Saturday 11th December 2021 to Saturday 11th December 2021

Portland Marina

11:00 - 13:00

How many Santa's can we get afloat in one go?

Join us for a social stand-up paddle around the marina breakwater, or down to Billy Winters and back (depending on weather conditions on the day) dressed as Father (or Mother) Christmas. Given that it's December and likely to be quite chilly, we'll head out for an hour or so before returning to the marina to warm up with a cup of something hot in The Boat That Rocks.

You'll need to bring your own paddle board, paddle, buoyancy aid and Santa suit (a limited number of boards, paddles and BA's may be available to hire from Adventure 4 All, please contact them directly) and be prepared to fall off into cold water, a wetsuit under your Santa suit is a good idea! All paddlers must be competent and able to cope with moderate sea and weather conditions. The session will be led my a member of the marina team with paddling experience, but they are not an instructor and you remain responsible for your own safety whilst afloat.

In addition to suitable clothing & accesories (gloves, hat, boots etc...) for paddling, don't forget to bring dry clothing and a towel for afterwards as well as a waterproof container for cash/card in case we make it down to Billy Winters for a hot chocolate stop.
